I would have to say that it's a tie between Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Dywane Wade, and an emerging star, Gilbert Arenas, however Nash proabably can fit in. Bryant can just score on any given night an dusually day, except for the Miami game today. Lebron is just having a great year which I think may earn him the MVP award. Wade is playing phenomenal as well, he can score but also can find the open man (and give him a great pass). Gilbert Arenas just scored a career high 64 points and also had a 54 point game ina matter of a week. He can pass and score from any area on the court, much like last year's Kobe Bryant. Nash is seemingly an old talent and if he were to win another MVP award this year, I think Lebron James, D Wade, and Kobe have every right to sue. I find it hard to believe that one guy one an MVP award for the second straight season just because a really talented teammate of his was absent the whole season. They picked Nashover Kobe, who proabably had his best season last year while getting 81 points and outscoring a team through three three quarters, meanwhile finishing with 62 points and setting a franchise record of 33 points in a quarter, which I think is second in league history (George Gervin is first with 35 points in a quarter). Kobe also won the scoring title averaging 35.4 points per game. However, Nash has shown recently that he can score in addition to making beautiful passes which ultimately turn into assists.

For this year I have to say Yao Ming. When was the last time you say a center lead his team in FG%, FT%, blocks, scoring, and rebounds. Try never!! Yao could be the first. Leads Houston to wins with or without T-Mac. He's having a great MVP caliber year.

In the league today? Allen Iverson. After ten years the man is as fast as he was when he came in the league. It's like watching a tornado with legs. His hustle, consistency, and awareness for the game is unmatched. His career numbers speak for themselves.

I've always stated that if Iverson was 6'6 the rest of the NBA would have a serious problem on their hands.

You have to give it up to Allen Iverson. Leads the NBA in scoring almost every year gets 8 plus assists per year, is always in teh lead league of steals, gos to the line almsot 20 times a game and is a great free throw shooter and is very clutch. He is one of the most exiting players in the NBA but still performs like one of the best players of all time. He is unguardable since if he is not shootings the ball well he could drive all night long and get his points on the free throw line.

Steve Nash, what would Phx be without him. All of his teammates learn to pass the ball from him, he helps his team, the real meaning of a point guard. Hes been the MVP twice, he can score but he opts not to, he passes and he shoots over 90% from the line. And i dont understand why people say Lebron because if you look at his numbers they aren't the greatest and there are many people right now filling up the stat sheet more than him yet people consider better than anyone else. Yes hes really good, but hes no MJ, not yet.

The guys that first come to my mind are Kobe, Nash, and Wade. Kobe, simply because he's Kobe--he can score 50+ points on any night; Nash, because he's the best team player in my opinion; and Wade, because he is a great scorer and playmaker, so he's a combination of Kobe and Nash (and he was also the finals MVP after he led his team all the way there).

My pick would be Kevin Garnett. He does a lot of everything, an excellent all around player.
