I know a woman that named her kids Audrey, Grace, Eva, John, Julie and Maureen, for Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Eva Gabor, John Wayne, Julie Andrews, and Maureen O'Hara.. they were born in the 60s. Even though these are common names she had said that they were actually named after the actors. Have any stories like this?

My parents name me after Maureen O'harra. And my dad wanted to name my brother, Norton (from the honeymooners), but mom wasnt to keen on that idea. So hes Timothy, named after no one.

My 2 1/2 year old is named Aaliyah. I didn't give her that name because of the singer; it was actually the only name her father and I could agree on. I don't think it's really bad to name your child after a singer/movie star, as long as it isn't to extremes. When you name your kid Angelina Jolie Smith, that's a little extreme. Hey it could be worse though; my sister in law named her son Damien. She didn't name him because she liked the name; she named him because she's worships the devil.

My best friend named her daughter Olivia after Olivia de Havilland (Melanie from Gone With the Wind.) Also, although it's not a movie star, my brother has a friend who actually named his child Sarek. As in Mr. Spock from Star Trek's father. Weird.

I have a cousin named Randolf Scott Braddock. My mom some how persuaded my aunt to use Randolf Scott, who was well known primarily for acting in Westerns, in the name. We call him Randy.

Well, they really aren't movie stars, but I named my kids after singers, Trace (Trace Adkins) and Toby (Toby Keith). I love both of those names!

My grandparents called my Aunt TOSCA, for those of you who are not fans of Opera, it's after Giacomo Puccini's opera "Tosca".
No kidding!
