A trucker who has been out on the road for three weeks stops into a brothel outside Vegas.
He walks straight up to the Madam, drops down $500 and says, "I want your ugliest woman and a bologna sandwich!!"
The Madam is astonished. "But sir, for that kind of money you could have one of my finest ladies and a three-course meal."
The trucker replies, "Listen sweetheart, I ain't horny, I'm homesick."

Yop your right. It can be a sad season, but it can also be a good time of year. So your alone. So am I...BUT Im thankful for home I live in. The job I have, the family that loves me. Some people think it is all about haveing a man give them a gift. NOT me. My husband passed away. Im thankful for the times we had not depressed because he is not here. You don't know what being alone is unless your old, in a wheel chair, and have no family. Now that sucks. I get tired sometimes. Life seems to just stand still and seem unimportant and boring. Then I think what if ? I died tomorrow. What would I want to do today. Everyone gets tired of the same ole crap. I found that life does not stay the same all the time. It changes when you least expect it. Sometimes we have to change in order for life to change. You are not alone in the way you feel. Hopefully you will find something meaningful to do with your life.

Everyone gets down sometimes. You are not alone. And, the season really does hit a lot of people hard.
If you are feeling really low, or if this happens a lot, you should really talk to someone. Please do! I've been through depression, and although you think there's nothing to be done, there are so many things that a doctor can help you with to bring the joy back into life. Or maybe, you just need to chat. There's lots of support groups online.
But, thoughts and prayers to you. God Bless you this season and throughout the year. And, if you're not a religious-type folk, then please accept this as just some happy and hopeful thoughts and support being sent your way.

Well you've told us what the problem is but you haven't told us why you feel this way.
Are you lonely?
Are you depressed because your job isn't going well right now? Are you unemployed?
Are you sick?
Have you lost your parents and siblings leaving you all alone in this world?
Do you not have enough to eat?
Do you feel your all alone and no one could possible ever care for you?
Were you married and lost your husband? Maybe your children?
Do you not have a home you can call your own?
When you wake up in the morning will it just be one more day you have to try to find something to eat?
Remember this: We all have our down days. But there is always someone out there that would be ecstatic if they could trade places with you. For they have nothing. But they keep on going.
Their life may be hell but somehow they keep having hope that it will get better so they keep going.
Try your best to think not where you are but of where you could be and thank the lord for this day.

This is the season for SAD (seasonal affective disorder) which can make some ppl feel very blue. How bout surrounding urself with friends and family, getting out doing something u enjoy. If u feel that its a mental thing, then light therapy may help u, or u can talk to ur doctor. I hope u r planning to be with loved ones for the holidays. Try to think of better times, and remember that this is how u feel right now and it will subside. Have a Merry Christmas and Good Luck!!!

This is answer is from a 60 year old man, so I hope you don't mind.
When my was killed in a car accident, in Dec of 2000, at thee age of 49, I wanted nothing more to do with the Holidays. We were married 33 years, and still deeply in love. She was like a child when the holidays rolled around. The tree had to go up the day at er Thanksgiving, and the whole house had to be decorated. I still want nothing to do with the Holidays. Yes, I considered suicide, but the one thing that helped through the very rough times, and the Holidays that have followed are my pets.
They ask nothing from you but love, and they give back so much love.
This year on Nov 26th, I lost my mother, and it is yet another lonely time in my life. My pets (dogs) sense my pain, and give me love. They see me cry, and want to be near me to help me.
I am sorry if this answer is so long, but I just wanted you to know to never give up, and if you can, and do love pets, and don't already have one than get one. They are a blessing.

Why are people cheerful only during the holidays?I just read in the news that Santa Claus had an evil side"the man in red traces his origins to pagan-era European folklore".What does that tell you? We're supposed to celebrate Jesus birth but we don't.We put more value on material things(I am totally guilty).I know that deep inside my heart I am not a bad person, yet all of the guilt consumes me.Then the depression sets in,another year comes and goes...I get tired of going through the motions of living just like you.PEACE&LOVE

I'm right there with you. This past year has to have been one of my worst ever, personally. I would like to forget it, myself. My finances suck, and my personal life sucks. No matter how hard I try, things just don't seem to go my way. Alot of times I feel like I'm just existing, not really living. It's a lousy feeling.

Why place so much importance on the holiday/time of the year? Especially if you are feeling this way? Dont self-sabotage because it's christmas. Everyone wants to share love with everyone yearround but the more weight you place on this time of the year, the worse you will feel. focus on maybe volunteering, and year round, with elderly, or children.

NEVER !! Everyday is wonderful simply because I woke up. I keep a positive attitude !
Life is a choice... I choose to have a good one. If I ever feel a little down, I simply do something nice for someone other than myself and get back on track.
Merry CHRISTmas!!
