First pick out a couple of styles that you'd like to try. Then, see if they fit and if they are comfortable. Think of what you need them for. Will you be running in these jeans? Sitting? Just walking around? Then look at the price. If you are still growing, you might want to go for a cheaper pair because you're not going to wear them for the rest of your life. Also consider this: will your jeans be out of style next month? Probably not, but you should check just in case.

Fit, price, cut, colour, and comfort.

You should always try a pair of jeans with different postures. Sitting, standing, heck, jump if you feel like it. If it's tight when you're sitting you probably need a bigger size etc etc. Is it within your budget ? Sometimes the pricier the jeans, the more long-lasting it is, because of the material and sewing. There are also lots of cut (boot cut, flare, low-rise etc) with different colours (faded, dark washed etc). And most importantly, make sure it's comfortable to wear in any occasion. Good luck.
