Okay, I've been through a miscarriage(Jan.5 07 is a year since). Tell them what is going on they most likely will offer support which you need right now to ease some stress. If you are miscarrying then your bleeding will become worse than a period. You're gonna soak pads like they aint nothing and the cramps are going to be 10x a period cramp. If you need to talk more in detail heres my yahoo email and messenger id. Id be more than happy to talk and try to help. brentheather13004@yahoo.com

I am so sorry for your loss. I had my first m/c around a year ago and I know how bad it sucks. Bleeding can be really screwy when you have a m/c especially if your body is still retaining amts of hcg, because it then still thinks it's pregnant. If you are soaking a pad every hour call your dr or go the er cause you could be losing too much blood. If it isn't that heavy try just resting and letting your body heal. As for your co-workers, I can't really tell you, it'll probably ease the missunderstanding of your co-workers as to why you aren't coming in, but at the same time it is your business and you only have to explain your absences to your bosses not them.

Yes I would worry, Call the DR. I was put on bed rest and every thing came out OK with me If you don't take care of yourself you could lose your baby..
Regarding telling them HIPPA guidelines do not require that you share info with your other employees .
I would personally share it with your Human resources person as this is a private matter . Let them tell your department you have a valid excuse. Nothing more .By law the Human resource department are not allowed to share your sick information with any one they can be sued for telling. We have had Ladies that have worked for us have this happen to them.
I would also get a Dr note and have your husband or boyfriend or Mom take it too them right away.
Hugs honey take care of your self

When you miscarry you need to bleed that out. You almost stopping after a few days worries me. They should have ordered a D&C. Bleeding alot means it getting out of your body. Also don't expect to see a fetus...your baby at 8 weeks is tiny. Like not even an inch long. But all that bleeding means its coming out. But I'd probably call the doctor to double check.

Well some women have periods while they are pregnant, but it really depends on what your dr said, if you should be worried, but it is tuff and my prayers are with you and your family...as far as your work as long as your immediate supervisor knows what is going on and is okay with you being out then you shouldn't worry about your co-workers, even if they are upset, your main focus should be on resting and getting through what you are going through.

As long as you aren't soaking through a pad every hour you should be okay. If not - call the doctor.
As for co-workers, if you don't feel very comfortable telling them about it, let them be mad. They'll get over it.

Honesty is the best policy.
You'll bleed a lot with a miscarraige. But certainly call your doctor if youre concerned.

well, talk to your doctor about the bleeding. as for your coworkers, if they knew you were prego then yeah tell them . if not, let them think what they want. If you tell htem htey may feel sorry for you but they may also think you are trying to milk it. I know it sounds insensative, but thats the wayu people are. soooo very sorry baout your loss.
