Ok i had this really cool idea to make a climing rope with knots in it. Then put something across the top of the cage because it has a solid top but bared sides, and then hand it from that so he can climb to the second storie of his cage via the rope.
Now the rope is a shoelace and i was wondering would i have to clean it in anyway just for safty sac. I sure he could handle it, but, i dont want to take a chance when it is not necessary.

And does anyone have any good sugestions for things i could put in his playground like toilet paper rolls and paper towle rolls...anything else?

Wow, sounds like a cool place to live. Heck, if it was life-size, I would live there. lol. OOOOH. toilet rolls are REALLY good. I've had rodents before and they LOVE to run through them. Also what they do is chew them, so its good for their teeth and they make bedding out of the shredded paper. If your cage is big, you can make like an obstacle course with many rolls. Just get tape, rolls and scissors. Make a hole in the side of one roll and stick another one in the hole and secure it with tape so it makes like a T-shape. My gerbils loved running through the many entrances I would make them. Then connect more rolls and so on...however you like, so you can have a maze. If you do this, make sure to get some of that yellowish masking tape because its safer for them to chew through.
