Peas are dispersed by a kind of dispersion called explosion dispersion, which is when the pod dries up or literally "explodes" and reveals the peas. It can be caused by wind, animals, or just by nature (when the pod is ready to explode).

If you mean the edible garden variety, it is more a case of `disappeared` than dispersed. Pigeons, Mice, Jays, and Squirrels will eat them at every stage of growth. They do not disperse widely from the crop field, as they are eaten when green (fresh) and any `storing` by Jays etc, is unlikely to remain viable for long. Wild members of the pea family (wild flowers) have evolved systems of seed dispersal that are superior to the cultivated varieties, these are generally more hardy, less attractive to wildlife, and less edible than the ones that `come in tins`. It is not common to see edible varieties of pea growing `wild`.

Assuming that you mean the edible pea , my experience from growing them is that they do not disperse. Any that I forgot to pick stayed on the plant in a dried out pod. Presumably we bred out the dispersal mechanism many years ago.
The wild relatives of peas - gorse, vetch etc - are dispersed when the pod dries out. It split open and twists, throwing out the seeds. If you sit near a gorse bush on a hot Summer day, you can hear the pods splitting

If you are trying to plant them, the peas from the pod are planted. Sometimes the birds do it.
