This is what you MUST do in order to get Unemployment.
(also remember that you can only get unemployment if you were laid off from a job you worked at within the last year--not quit)

1. You must go into your local unemployment office of the state you are living in NOW and file for benefits. (This a long process, therw ill be long lines, but you must go through it.)

2. After you apply, Know that it will take 4 to 6 weeks for your benefit checks to start coming.

3. After you move to another state, THEN you must go into a local Unemployment Office there, and apply for a Transfer of your Benefits. The people of your new state will contact your lhome state to get all your information.

4. In about 3 weeks, your Benefits will get transferred to your New State, and you will start getting checks.

yea but the rates depend on the state youre going to..but they cant deny you unemployment as long as youre really trying they are mandated by the federal government to give it to you. good luck on your move
