im in 9th grade and im barely 4'11. i like being short and all, but its weird going out with friends, (especially ones younger than me) because when i meet new people, they are all like, "you're in highschool?!" i know i will apreciate my height when im older, but sometimes people go to far with the "short" thing.......

GUYS LOVE "Shaw-teez" People are going to be disrespectful regardless, and because of your youth, you're going to get that "You're in HIGH SCHOOL?" bit. Laugh it off, obvsiously they have no manners. Live it up, invest in some STILETTOS and work it. You have NO IDEA how many envy you. Trust me on this one. If you were really tall, you'd be feeling that from people telling you, "Dang, you're tall!" like you had no idea. That gets old, too. I'm only 5'5" and I get it! (I'm always in stilettos, though) and my friend is naturally thin, can't gain weight regardless of how hard she tries and people are soooo rude saying, "YOU'RE SO SKINNY!" it is not like she walks up to them and says, "Dang, you're FAT!" y'know? Many people have no manners. Roll with it, trust me, it's girls like YOU that end up the top of the cheerleading pyramid!!!

Don't worry, I'm short also. I'm 5'2, you might say, "What does that got to do with me?" But in my high school I'm short too, people are cool with it because their people shorter than me and their in the eleventh or twelveth grade! Just be thankful how tall you are because there are some people who are born with being very little and it's a struggle everyday. So don't worry if someone says something to you, just be like "I maybe short but I can kick your a@#." I know short people who can really do some serious Tai Kwon Do, so just ignore it.

As an 8th grade teacher, I can tell you that being short is easier than being extremely tall. Count your blessings, and laugh when the jokes come. Sounds like you already have a handle on things.

Don't let it get to you. I'm in 8th grade and i'm only 4'9 and a half. Ohh! And i so get what you mean! but i love it people call me there miget friend. which i dunno if you would like it but i love being different then all of my friends, and other people i mean all my friends are like 5-6' or more!!! wow! But if your different then people will notice you more. (and on the pluse side guys think it's hot when girls don't care about hieght/weight) if you feel confident then that turns guys on! and guys think it's cute when your little and petite!

Honey, don't even worry about that. Females don't stop growing until they're eighteen. I'm seventeen and a senior in high school and I'm only 4'9". You should reach at least 5'0" or 5'1" by the time you graduate.

Stand proud. Ignore the comments. When people comment just smile and give short answers. If they wont leave it alone sya something like "I find in odd that you are so concerend about my height".
