Kinda, I used it and found that for serveral fires afterward chunkies would fall out of the chimney. It doesn't clean out all of the build up with one use quite like it says it does. Also,being a little concerned about the stuff falling into the fire, I had a chimney sweep come afterward and judging by what he was able to remove, it didn't do that great of a job.

I've seen everything from a ball of barbwire with a log on one end for weight, and then dropped down to a heavy log, chain with barbed wire wrapped around it. Some fools even believed in leaving the fire go to clean out the chimney, thinking it would work, not knowing the cracks in the chimney would catch fire.

Yes, to a point.....But the best thing to do is leave a chimney sweep brush on the roof for Santa !!! Merry Christmas !!!!!

What is Cowboydoc talking about? They do like they say if u are getting debris falling later. It is not the fool proof way, call a sweep company

For the most part it will maintain it well but you should still have it cleaned yearly.
