I like the sites where you can make a virtual garden. That means you can put this plant with that one..and then try something else. You move the plants all around and try new plants until you find something you like.

the B.B.C. is one place to do this and also you can download programs to do it:

and then there is Better Homes and Gardens. The page I am linking you to has many resources; like gardens that are already pre-planned and slideshows of flower gardens and a plant finder And a virtual designing program so that you can make your own garden<

Good Luck!! I am sure your project will turn out great. One of the best ways to get healthy plants is to prepare your soil well; lots of compost is good although certain plants can have special needs so watch it if you choose one of those. And also water your plants the way that they like it <

Imagination is the key element.
If you want a designer garden without the expense of one
Try this
Buy poster board
cut pictures from magazines
have yard dimensions/diagram
place pictures for optimum view in garden
It's all up to you
Have fun and good luck!
