At times, I do.
I'm learning that I don't have to constantly explain myself just so people won't think I'm some cold, mean, selfish *****-- but I do have my moments... Ha ha...
I guess misunderstanding is becoming an acquaintance of mine... However, I don't want it to be a close friend, so I still occasionally explain myself to prevent a dispute or something.

I am EXACTLY the same....till my close friend told me that anyone who I have to explain myself to isn't worth having. That helped me. I mean, I am who I am: hard, cold, sweet, nice, mean..whatever....if we were all ALWAYS sweet and nice I think I'd gag...

The "many stuff" will artwork themselves out in a court docket of regulation if choose be...yet once you've an section to bypass, you need to %., take what you want and go away OR, once you've little ones, record for divorce and characteristic the police, if choose be, remove him from the premises. you're "pussyfooting" round right here female, asking how your can quell your rage at the same time as the glaring is ideal in the front of you and also you're saying, you "won't be able to" do it. nicely you may, that's basically that you received't. do not contact the different female both. that's tacky and ineffective. exercising a backbone and do between both ideas above, otherwise, you're patently a prepared doormat. It depends on the situation.

Sometimes I do feel the need and I do explain myself. For example, if I'm really late to something and was stuck in traffic. I think it might be good to explain why I'm late. So that people know I'm not blowing them off.

Other times I don't even bother, because I know that explaining myself would be futile. Those are the situations like saying "I'm sorry, but...." Which really almost says to the other person "I'm not sorry." So, when apologizing or something like that, I really try hard not to explain myself but say sorry and try to not hurt the person again.

The sad thing is that either the other person gets you or not, and no amount of explaining will help if he/she doesn't. Haven't you tried to explain and seen the other person's expression go more and more clueless while you go on and on? Usually, at the end of such explaining session, the misunderstanding is at least twice what it was before. I should know, I'm an explainer myself. (But then, I may be wrong - maybe I'm just lousy at explaining :)))

I sure did today! Or rather not to explain, but to let a few folks know I wasn't as stupid as they appeared to think! Not that it helps - they either don't see the explanation, or just ignore what you say. I think you're right, sometimes it's easier to explain than to let something escalate.

Yes, sometimes I do, sometimes I would like people asking me the why, so I could share my reasons. Those times are when I'm not asked at all about it.

I do, ALL the time....but I'm pretty much done trying to explain myself. If people want to know what I'm all about, they'll need to ask me. I know EXACTLY where you're coming from! :)
