It's amazing to me how little some people know about how the government works. The people who were elected last month don't take office until January. As much as I hate the Democrats, they haven't even had one day in power yet. Just be patient; they'll destroy the economy in due time.

As of today, none of newly-elected members of Congress have taken office yet. They'll take the oath after the new year. It took the Repugnants some time to screw things up. It may take the Dems even more time to make corrections. Don't expect anything to change overnight.

They don't take over (ie they're not sworn in) until January 2007 when the new congress convenes.
