It is calcium or lime. Use Lime-a-way or similar. Then use one of those clear shower to shower type of spays in the future. Get a cheapy as they all work. I know I have tried most.

You can take a white dryer sheet such as Bounce, get it wet and rub the area. Then rinse off and clean the door as normal. If the water spots are really bad, they can etch the glass and become permanent. You might have to go to your local janitorial supply place and get an acid based cleaner. You need to follow the directions closely, be sure to use it in a well ventilated area. Do not let the product sit too long on the glass.

You can actually buy a product in a spray bottle that does this for you.
Not sure what it is called in the UK or USA but here in Spain it is called Limpia Ducha - which means Clean Shower in English.
I know it works because I am always last in the shower and my wife makes sure I clean it correctly!

vinegar wiped over with a cloth, left for a few mins then rinsed off. To prevent build up of marks, invest in a squeejee and use that after every shower

Try Vim, the cream concentrated kind not the spray one. If that doesn't work try CLR or some product that is supposed to remove hard water stains.

have you tied Vaikal, it´s very good for removing lime and cleaning your stainless steal, I normally use a natural stone cleaner cream , It clean´s almost every thing , but maybe you have no time to look for that in the shop´s, I would try the Vaikal Merry Christmas

If you want to do it FAST and you can afford to buy CLR and a pair of rubber gloves... that is the way to go.. or.. at least that is how I cleaned mine just before I moved out of an apartment.
