I'm looking for a HEAVY coverage foundation. I have some redness on my face from acne scars and also a few random breakouts each month. It makes my face tone very uneven looking, like I have wind burn or something. I have yet to find a foundation that covers it very well. Does anyone know of a good foundation that really covers and evens out tone? I also have oily skin so I need something that will stay, and not melt off in 3 hours.

Liquid foundations only. I'm not into the powder types.

I like Dermablend I am a crossdresser and it covers my beard area well. You can set it up with the dermablend powder and it lasts real well. I get it at JC Penny.

Hmm. this is a good question. I'm going to be honest with you though. You really don't want to use too heavy of a foundation because it will severely break you out. The heavier foundations tend to be better for people with severe birthmarks or sun damage and who don't breakout easily. People with that usually use a brand called Dermablend which I dont recommend for people with active acne. (Better for scars)
Honestly though..the heavy makeup look is not really in style right now. It just looks too cakey and was used mostly in the eighties and early ninties.
I suggest that you go with makeups that have salacylic acid in them.
Neutrogena skin clearing line is very good. Laura Mercier Tinted foundation is ok to use aslo. Its $40 though..And I actually like Neutrogena better for my skin type. Anyhow, use the Neutrogena Clean Tint over entire face then use a concealer with the salicilic acid in it as well to spot treat the acne Almay makes a very good one.. You can also use a more moisturizing concealer to go beneath your eyes such as the Neutrogena Active Copper brand.
After this lightly dust a powder over your skin using a large makeup brush. A good brand powder is Urban Decay. It has minerals in it and stays put unlike BareEssentials, which also makes me break out.
Not only will these make up tips cover your flaws but they will clear your skin up as well, and that should be the main goal, not masking the problem.
These products worked wonders for me.
I Hope this helps.

MAC Foundation would be the best for you. Makeup Artist Cosmetics began as stage makeup in the industry. out of all the different types i have tried, theirs is the line that offers the most coverage. you can even use a liquid (studio fix fluid) and then cover with the creme to powder they have and use it as a setting powder and to touch up during the day. (studio fix or full coverage)

Derma Blend will help with the most extreme problems. My Aunt lost all the pigmentation all over but it started on her face (she was very dark) this covered it and after time she lost color all over. She now has skin that is almost transparent. Good Luck!

have you ever tried merle normans total finish make-up? it's very heavy, and will cover up anything. I don't use it because I don't need the coverage, but I've tried it, and wow!
or, you might want to try going to dillards, they sell something called Derma-blend and it's made to cover serious problems and scars, and you set it with a powder which makes it waterproof. it's completely opaque and will cover ANYTHING.

Use maybelline Pure Makeup. It covers great and it has like 50% h2o so it lets your skin breathe and heal.
