One game: Apples to Apples. It is hilarious, and we are trying to find it for our New Year's party!

DDR!! that's Dance Dance Revolution in case you didn't know.
It plays on Playstation, Xbox, etc.
Hoopla is another fun one. It's a box game from Cranium, at better toy stores. It's like a combination of Pictionary, Charades and Trivial Pursuit.
We also like "the Dictionary game" . Each person needs a pen/pencil and a bunch of slips of paper. One person the finds a random word in the dictionary - one that no one knows what it means. All the players write their own definition of the word on the paper. The papers are collected and read out loud one at a time. Players vote on the "best" (most accurate) definition. The person who wrote the best definition gets 10 points. Most points wins.
Variation: Try to guess who wrote each definition.
We have had tons of fun with this one.

The Animal Game.
It is soo fun...ok, here's how you do it:
-Everybody gets in a circle, with one person in the middle.
-That person closes their eyes while everybody "shuffles" into a different spot (still surrounding the person in a circle)
-Then, the person in the middle says "stop" when they wish to say it, and then, they spin around in a circle, stop, and point in the direction they stop in (eyes still closed)
-They then name an animal, and the person they pointed to has to impersonate that animal
-After they are done, the person in the middle guesses who it was that said that, and if they guess correct, the person who made the animal noise walks to the middle, and the process is repeated.
-However, if the first person in the middle guesses wrong, then they keep on repeating the process until they get it right
p.s: Once you get "pro" at this game, then instead of naming an animal for someone to make the noise of, you can name a celeb, or even one of you friends.

p.p.s: sorry, this game is better with large groups of people, but you can play it with smaller groups if desired.

encore is a great game to play, it gets really competitive and is so much fun. when my friends and i were fifteen, we spent the whole summer playing that game almost every night. you can buy it at target or somewhere like that. hope that helps..and have a great holiday & new year!
