I wasn't too much into them until I took my mom to see them on Bono's B-day like 4 years ago....awesome performance. i luv them.

As much as I appreciate all the humanitarian efforts that Bono is involved in, I still think the band is overrated and a bit self-righteous. When I was in college everyone thought they were gods and I was so sick of all the iPod commercials with U2 and everything. My opinion is that they are a mere shadow of a once great band.

I definitely like their '80's stuff better... I mean, it scared the sh*t out of me when I heard it in the 80's because I wasn't old enough to understand it, but now I really like it. Their new stuff is good, but it seems to be missing some of the intensity of their older music.
