All these players are putting up points like its nothing
nash had 42 last night
areanas had 54 and 60 the other night
kobe has put up 50 twice

and a couple games have been in the 130+pts

so is new ball the cause of all the scoring?
and if it is should they keep it?

No, it's because the players have gotten better..The new ball can be bouncing high, then it will go low...the ball is a mess...it takes like 4 cows to make one ball....thats stupid and insane....the new ball is being taken out of the NBA in like January 1st or something......well

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Its hard to say if it is the ball or not because the players have complained about the ball religiously saying they hurt the player's hands, and is of poor quality. This year it could be - players have gotten better, teams are not playing defense, the teams are really playing well with their star, etc. but also keep in mind a lot of these 130+/ big scoring games have been in overtime/s. I don't think that even if it is the ball they should keep it because players complained enough, made their point, that they just need to go back to the old ball.

They are bringing back the old ball because the players have been complaining about it. like Lebron James was saying the other day that when it gets wet it's really slippery and hard to handle. So i totally think the old ball should come back, I play bball and we have a ball sort of like the new one and we don't like it ( it's made of this foamy material)

its not the ball, its the increased tempo of the game for this season, and the lack of defense. only coaches love watching defense. its not going to matter what kind of ball they use - the talent in the NBA is great enough that even if they used the old soccer ball that Dr. Naismith initiated basketball with, the scores would still be up. only detroit & san antonio command scores to be low because of their defense.

Steve Nash is one of the guys who really doesn't like it. He complains that it tears up his fingertips. They showed him in practice wearing little bandages on half of his fingertips.
