I am 67 and have started using Replens for dryness. It's very expensive and I am on a limited budget. (I am even using my friends computer because I had to sell mine) So, would it cause any problems for me to substitute something like K Y Jelly and insert that instead of Replens. If anyone knows of a more natural remedy, I would use that. But I really need to insert some sort of moisture. Would go into this further but it is the internet and I am using my friends computer.
Thank you for your answers in advance

Oh, I cannot afford to go to the Doctor for at least 5 more months.

Yes, you could substitue K Y Jelly for Replens. However, Replens offers a longer remedy & better integerity of your vaginal tissue. You can also check out any health food store for your personal needs as well as "Good Vibrations", (a store) you can google them for info. :)

even though KY is water based i would be concerned that it might coat your inner vaginal walls and prevent natural lubrication from happening - there are some vaginal moisturizers available over the counter but i would suggest consulting with your pharmacist or doctor

There are generic brands of over the counter moisturizers. Maybe you should see if those give you some relief.

KY actually makes a long lasting lubricant, it comes in a tube and I believe it lasts for up to 3 days. http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=100269&navAction=jump&navCount=0&id=prod999535

Ky Jelly should work too. You won't know until you try it. It might work just as well as the Replens.
