There was a recent poll I read on the AP that stated 80% of Americans don't care about a candidates' race.
Put it this way, if the candidate is blowing me the sunshine I want to hear, he/she has my vote. The end. Seriously, it's almost 2007. Who cares? I would vote for Condi Rice over say, John Kerry
If they run as a conservative, they can be purple for all I care.

You are referring to Hillary and Obama. My bet would be on Hillary. She has quite a head start, name recognition, and has been very involved in national politics.
Maybe Obama could come in after her! He'll have time to pick up political strength.
I'm not sure Hillary could afford to take Obama as running mate. Too much novelty at once for the American people.
On the other hand, if a well-known white male should win the nomination, he could afford to take Obama as running mate.
In any case it would be wise for Obama not to be anybody's running mate. That way he wouldn't pick up the dust from any real or perceived mistakes of the president he was vp under.

Neither. You have to be a rich, white male. Those are the only people that get nominated and elected.
Eventually, maybe we'll have a rich, white female - that will probably be before we have a minority president because there are too many good old boys out there who wouldn't vote for a minority no matter how well-qualified they are. And to think they would vote for a female is probably stretching it a little.

How about a Black Female President! That would be great. In actuality we will probably see both before we see an atheist president.

Well consider the pay scale:
White males are on the top of the pile,
Then African American males
Then females
Mexicans
Native Indians
Take your bet from there. I am leaning toward Obama anyway...I can't stand Hillary. If Obama doesn't get the nomination, I am going with Giullianni.

I think Hillary might have a chance if she runs in 08--so probably a female first and then an African American pres. I think it would be cool if we got both :o)

HILLARY CLINTON WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT.
She was born with extra chromosomes, but she is still considered a woman.
She has more guts than many other Democrats.
She still supports Bush in Iraq.
She will be the next president by a LANDSLIDE.
(It's already been decided by the News Media, and the Rich & Powerful, both here and around the world.)

Since it seems like Hillary Clinton is the only female interested at the moment, I'd think a black person, would be seen first.
