all you have to do is bridge the connection. ok you have cable, it hooks up to a modem, now a cat-5 wire goes to the modem and you pc. now you need another one to go from your pc to the one you are bridging. go to network connections and add a bridge. bingo

My recommendations are that you get a Linksys Wireless G Router because the speedstream modem is allready in bridge modem then get a wireless card for the other computer. This way you will not need to run cables throughout your home. I use wireless myself with no problems at all

If both PCs are in the same room go for the wired router using 2 ethernet wired cable to plug from each PC to the 2 ports behind the router.

Now if the second PC is located in another room and you don't want wires all over the house then get a wireless router. The first PC can stay near the wireless router and be pluged like wirely(wireless router have wired router capabilities) the second PC needs to have a wireless adapter(check first if the PC has one already if not buy an wireless USB adapter).

Good luck,

Joe

pretty much all that you will need. Just another cable from the other PC. Connect both cables from the PCs to the router, connect the router with a crossover to the Speedstream modem.

that is all that you will need is a router most of them come with the cables required to set up another computer to share the same internet connection.

You need to buy a wireless card and install it into the computer without the router on it!
