Turn of your PC then turn it back on. AS SOON AS YOU POWER IT BACK ON START TAPPING THE F8 BUTTON. Do not stop tapping until you get to a screen that allows you to boot in safe mode. choose that option and windows will come up. The only difference will be that "safe mode" is in all four corners of your desktop. when you're here, preform the scan. The reason your antivirus won't quarantine it normally is because some punk found out that you can't delete a file while it's running. So now most viruses are like this now. HOWEVER. Safe Mode only runs essential windows programs, so now that the virus isnt' running, your antivirus program will be able to delete it. Good luck!!

I would try another anti-virus scan. Try Trendmicro.
You can run a free online scan from Trendmicro. When I have tested it it takes some time to run it but it may be time well spent if it can fix any problems.
Download and run http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
If they can not remove it get HijackThis.
Download HijackThis---http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php#hijackthis. Run and Save a Log. When you log comes up copy and paste the entire log at http://www.hijackthis.de/ . Analyze your results. You will then get a screen that will tell you if you have any nasty stuff in your computer. Follow instructions to deal with any nasties. CAUTION: This is a very powerful tool. Be careful.

One other thing not mentioned here. If you are attempting to delete a virus after a positive alert then make sure you have system restore switched off before rebooting otherwise it may just re hook itself..... Virus's are spread in many ways and NO browser is fail safe Firefox has had its own problems of late

If antivirus and spyware remover software does not work, you can try to restore the computer to an older working configuration. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html
