Ley me tell you what I am learning:

1. Listening Patiently:
I have been listening to questions and answers from people belonging to some school of thought that oppses me. So, its difficult to hear opposition. But it need practice to overcome.

2. Answering with reference:
Learning to answer the questions with full reference and proof.

3. Communicating:
Learning to communicate my answer better in a hostile environment and sometimes to the asker who is not ready to accept.

As far as the reliability is concerned. I dont beleive the answers to be true without any refernce to a valid source. Probaly it wont be the case if the question is like:

2 + 2 = ?
or
What do you think about...?

I hope it helped

I have learned a few things or maybe I should say found out a few things. I have a asked a few questions about things I did not know how to find the answer and I was given the info. So I think it does have great possibilities.

Learned a great deal. The info learned is not directly done.
By reading answers, questions, you get a feel for the people who use Yahoo answers. How tolerant they are, and how intelligent, and so on...

This particular site makes me upset inside. People are so dim witted sometimes. I know there are alot of really intelligent people logged onto this particular area, but I think sometimes even smart people say dumb ignorant things,I'm talking or rather keying in about racial questions. I don't like this section think I'll leave.Bye

haha sometimes it's a way of procrastination for me, so i wouldnt have to do schoolwork ;)

but in general, it's always great to get input from people who are "outside the box", to get an outsider's opinion on a situation.

there are people here who just post stupid answers, but other are willing to help and give great advice :)
