which do you prefer (wholse series) and why?

I ask as I love The Resident Evil series but my other half is really hooked on Silent Hill
and I was wondering what everyone else prefers.

resident evil is by far better but resident evil 4 needed to bring back some of the problem solving back in to it even though it was a brilliant game i hope they do for resi 5

silent hill is the best in my view,, however i have never really played resident evil so am prob not well enough informed to vote,,,, but its all down to opinion and personal preference at te end of the day

ugh silent hill. a game in which u find ammo for your guns on benches in an abadoned town. i mean pleaase. at least res evil tries to get you into that scary zombie infection feel. resident evil all the way due to its superior gameplay, characters, and storyline. i mean jeez silent hill is about ghosts and devils and hell and the weird creepy bible references in silent hill: the room...yea whatever go for resident evil for a solid spooky adventure. Have Fun!!!!

Silent hill way up!
In Silent Hill you run alone in the city with all fog in it, and you have a radio that is a lot more creepier because its sounds only if there any monster nearby.. and i am totally freak out when it sounds! its sounds like scratching or something..
while in RE, zombies are just popping all around.. it may freak you out.. but hello? they are not running you know... they are just walking and slow and you can run them off or kill it for a second..not like in SH the monster there are unbelievable and HELL YAH!! like in SH4 monster there are zombies that is levitating and can across the walls.. eeek im scared you know..

They are both sh1t and boring and need little or no brain power to play.... Sorry I can't choose.
