What kind of occupation is getting more important?

Please give me some reasons.

if by important you mean in demand and secure that would be a job in the medical field such as nursing, respiratory tech, physical therapy etc. as the baby boomers age there will be an increase in the need for care at the bedside and for care to heal and strengthen the boomer so he/she is capable of returning home after injury or illness. also anything that has to do with computer tech. would be hot for obvious reasons. if by important you mean as in being recognized for a job well done i would say the field would be in inventions or science. also an important field would be politics but not as in elected to office. as we have seen any fool can get elected. a politician who is a good mediator would be more important than one who could do nothing but read speeches written by someone else.
