No, we fall prey to the illusion that we don't have enough and that we should have the same or more than everyone else. It's human nature to want more and more and more, even though once you have it, you still aren't satisfied. I think once you learn to be happy with nothing you can know what true happiness means in life. It's not about things. We can't take them with us. It's internal. Being satisfied with ourselves is true happiness and fulfillment.

I don't know! Isn't it silly.
The person who is the winner is the one that doesn't have that much.
Cause' what we own own's us. We got take care of it, pay the maintenance bills on it, fear losing it, lock it up, whatever...
My sister claimed she didn't have enough to live on...Somebody stole her cell phone!
I couldn't help it, I think I smiled. She'll have enough money to live on now that she doesn't have to pay those high contract bills.
She's got her own apartment and a house phone, anyhow.
And what really bugs me, is often people get jealous of people who haven't really got anything! Maybe one small nice thing, and they don't even have a place to live, they are staying with somebody! That is Sooo Krazy!
I went out and bought some new Walmart clothes. Oh, Man, did I get it from my Neighbors!
A good friend told me, well, gee, you have an apartment! Aren't they being abit mean, it's not like you own you're own house, or anything?! What do they expect you're supposed to do?
And sometimes you need newer needs kindof stuff, if you are still trying to help yourself get somewhere.
It's scary that some people feel they have an Absolute Right to decide what other people are allowed to have.
I think that came from a misinterpretation of socialism.

Maybe it's the value you're placing on the things. If he knows he's respected no matter what he achieves maybe he wouldn't have a jealousy or envy problem. Not sure but maybe. Just let him know it takes hard work to get certain things and an exchange of sorts.
