greed started the moment we begun wishing for more than what we can handle...the time we started thinking more of our selves and less of others...that is when we become greedy.

I kinda agree usamorsoldier. Greed was born at the same time as human kind was born. Adam and Eve wanted to master all knowledge and be equal to God, by eating the forbidden fruit. That's still a form of greed, you know.

Greed was born in the heavens before the creation of man.The most beautiful of all Angels,Lucifer plotted to steal the glory he thought should be his. Mankind became greedy when he was injected with this poison by the Father of ALL lies in The Garden Of Eden , with the idea that mankind was better off without GOD!!!

let's forget all the popular religion bs, o.k.? greed is a child of the(negative) ego. once a person becomes sufficiently balanced within, the left brain and it's spawn, the negative ego, tend to correct themselves. in a hyper materialistic, left brained, "success" at all costs culture, bloated ego is encouraged, and balance is not. for one thing, being a balanced human encourages reflection, kindness and a lack of interest in consumerism, and following directions in a sheep-like manner. and, it also minimizes your fear level, definitely not desired by the psychopaths who run this culture, and the planet, generally. how to achieve this balance and become a part of the growing minority? the tried and true methods, practiced especially in the "east": meditation, energy work: chi gong, yoga, reiki, etc. take a look at the book: *the complete idiot's guide to toltec wisdom* and the sites http://www.sahajayoga.com http://www.crystallotus.com and http://www.worldofsouls.com for some guidance. good luck ;-)
