Honestly, I believe it's okay to go out in groups of friends to the movies, pizza and stuff if you're 12-15 yrs of age. At 16 and 17 it's ok to start dating one on one, but, you need to use a lot of caution, some things you shouldn't be getting involved in until you've met someone you're serious with. It can cause you a lot of regret later in life and it can confuse you and make you believe love doesn't exsist.So yes, just be careful.

I don't agree that teenager "should" go out dating;
In fact it will pretty much depends on the age of the teenagers.
But I don't believe that teenagers or anybody "should" do anything they don't HAVE to unless they WANT to do it.
When you're a teenager, really, there's no rush into " dating" someone.
It's not like you will never socialize at some point because you have children to look after, a house to take care of, a job which is consuming.
You do on the contrary have many opportunities to meet people your own age and so it's rather a good thing to let things happen; not to force them.
What's the rush?!

i agree that only 16 and older should date. REASON BEING: kids these days have no respect for the other person and most children do not have a father figure in the house , therefore alot of lil boys have no respect for lil girls. I think if a boy really wanted to date a girl he should ask the parents. And anyone under 16 is considered to me a child. Get a father figure or a real man that cares bout their son or daughter and have a long hard talk with both of them and let them know what will happen if one or the other happens to mess up . because then they will b scared to death to find out the outcome, w/ the parents that is..tell the "teenager" that you love them and that they have your trust, and never let them go out on a date w/o others being present also.....like other friends in a public place. makes it almost imm. to try something when your with others.

If the teenager is a mature and responsible individual then I see no problem with this. But if this person is 13 - 16 years old and and having unrealistic expectations about this date then it probably isn't wise. But if they are dating and realizing it is for fun and not acting adult like then go for it.

Depends on the maturity of the teenager and the maturity of the person they want to go out with. if its a 13 year old and a 16 year old then hell no.

Yes it is perfectly normal in this country and in this society. Other races and some religions have different standards.

It sounds to me as if you have a problem with your upbringing and want to live as your friends do, rather than as your parents wish. You need to choose between your parent's religion or to take on the standards of your parent,s adopted country.

There is no law in Britain to stop teenagers going on a date.
Many religious and cultural rules were appropriate and even necessary in other countries and other societies. I question their relevance outside their place of origin.

Yes I do agree because most do and if someone starts to date when they're an adult, they can easily get taken advantage of by a veteran. It's not smart to shelter children from everything.
