I LOVE Canada. I've been to Toronto, Ontario, Winsor, Niagra, canoing in the parks and wilderness, along the St. Lawrence, Montreal, I've skied my favorite resort Blackcombe, scoured Victoria, Ty Namara, Ucelet and ate my way through Vancouver. I find it very interesting that there is such a wonderful French ambiance on the eastern half of the country and a very British cultural influence on the west. The food is so varied, the people so friendly, helpful and hospitable and the Canadian Mounties are absolutely the MOST polite when they issue you a ticket for speeding that you simply don't even mind paying it! I would love to get up into Nova Scotia if I can convince my hubby that there is something else to see up there other than the charming fishing villages.

I have been to Canada several times to visit family that lives there in Ontario, near Toronto.
But... I have also been to the Provincial Park called Quetico. This park is north of the National Boundary Waters Canoe area in Minnesota.
I have been there at least 4 times on canoe trips. It was beautiful and a lot of hard work too. You have to carry all your equipment over portages to get to the next lake.
I would go back in a heartbeat.

I've been to Montreal, as well as New Brunswick, PEI, and Nova Scotia. Montreal's a fantastic city with a lot of old-world charm. What's more, nearly everyone speaks English fluently. It's fine to test your French out, but you aren't given attitude if you stick with English, unlike in certain European cities. ;-) The nightlife is as good as the food.
The Atlantic Provinces are quite beautiful, and I definitely recommend them if you're in the mood for scenery, seafood, and/or Celtic music. They're said to be rather similar to Ireland and Scotland.

Canada is beautiful. I have been to Niagra Falls Canada and it is great, Niagra on the Lake is a quaint little town with lots of shops that you can walk through. Toronto is a good place to see also but much larger.
Hope you have fun wherever you decide to go.

I've been over by the Falls and also up by Thunder Bay. There is a lot of history up there which was really fun to check out. Up by Thunder Bay (NW of Lake Superior) we visited an amethyst mine which was very interesting and unlike anything I'd seen before. Just like any country there is a variety of things to do and see and experience.

I have been in the Toronto area and really enjoyed my visit. I went to Niagara Falls, toured the wine district and went to several parks. There is much more in our Northern neighbor that I wish to visit.
