Why are people so stupid on this site? For one, they are too lazy to learn how to use the internet, and two, they ask questions about illegal activities (i.e. hacking).

Why are people so stupid on this site? For one, they are too lazy to learn how to use the internet, and two, they ask questions about illegal activities (i.e. hacking).
Well, maybe I should have specified, it's not JUST tech related. And my frustration is with people who want to use the internet for it's illegal advantages.

Ha ha! ymgeek, good answer! But yeah, it just goes to show you what people are really like. When you meet them in person, they might be more guarded. But online, you (hopefully) can't track them, so they don't care what they say! I'm also getting sick of all the bad English. Mind you, maybe that's because I'm a really severe English critic...

You claim to be a "Tech Guy," but you sound just like an employee I fired once. She complained about the "stupid users" all the time. I thought it would be a good idea if she understood that the only reason she had a job was to help the users. I warned her that I didn't want to hear that ever again. Then I heard, from my network admin that she had been down in the LAN room doing the same thing. She was not even all that qualified herself. She had become the typical "Tech Snob." So, I fired her. She had been warned.
I have a Master In Comp Sci. My dissertation was on Human Machine Interaction, so I know a thing or two about this subject. There are no stupid users. There is just complicated, overly sloppily written software and hostile technical environments that are daunting to the average user. If people like you didn't make the user's life so miserable, they could probably cope.
You are a typical technical snob. You probably believe you are quite good, but I bet you know just enough to get by. You ought to have more consideration for others.

They're just people, my friend-that means they'll naturally be opportunistic. They'll look for a way to take advantage of anything, anyone, anywhere. Not everyone is gonna bow down and give them everything they want. If you got there the hard way, ignore them-they won't last that long.

It's not so much that there is stupidity on this site, it's a fact that the world is full of stupid people, so it's inevitable that they would find sites like this.

Yes, but he does have a point on the hacking part. I get annoyed when people are like "Please tell me how to hack some guys computer knowing only their name!". I mean, seriously...
