I have both ears pierced 2 times on the bottom of my ear. AND than 1 11/2 years ago, after just turning 40 , I decided to get 1 ear pierced in my cartiledge (upper ear). Now, I am considering getting another piercing. Should I get my other ear in the cartiledge pierced? or should I add to my ear that already has 3 pierced?? What is the way to do it? Add to the same ear or have the same amount of piercings in each ear?

I dont want to hear from you if you have an opinion that no one should have multiple ear piercings. Keep those kinds of opinions to yourself!

This really is a question you need to answser for yourself - what do you like on other people when you see it? Even piercings on both sides or do you like the odd number in the ears? Personally I have had both ears pierced twice in the lower lobe and then I had one in the cartlige on one side (but that grew out) and then a third on one side in the lobe - if your after something different I like the tiny piercings in that little part of the ear closer to your head above the lobe - I hear its painful but it is very effective. Im a bit of a piercing fan I have had my navel pierced (unfortunately that grew out also but will wait till it totally heals over and the scar goes white and then have it pierced again but under the scar tissue (apparently this helps to stop them growing out) I also have my nose and labret pierced.... I have though taken out all of my ear piercings exept 1 on each side of the lobe - I guess thats the good thing about piercings - if you dont wsant them any more you just take them out.

My opinion if you hare having trouble deciding what to do is to think about what you have liked on other people or just have 1 area done and if you want it to look more even get the other side done.

Good luck :)

Most ladies have two or three piercings per ear and the boys I see have one to six, the men usually one. Balance your ears if you can take the longer healing time for the upper cartiledge; I tried that and decided it smarted to sleep and I do like my sleep!

My older sister has eight holes in each ear that always look pretty with varing stones in them and my daughter has five that she wears graduating hoops in with some inset stones. Each to his own; I wanted to wear one of those Bajoran type earrings they had on Deep Space Nine, hence the piercings. Then I found out they were clip-ons---so much for getting carried away with a Sci-Fic show!

Ears are a lot less in all probability to get contaminated so no damage performed expensive. in case your piercer did not furnish you with any ear cleansing answer you may basically use q-information or cotton balls with warm water and rub around the hollow. good success =]
