It's easy. Disconnect the old machine--un plug . One electrical plug. Or one gas flex hose. or both. Replace the Gas flex hose and check for gas leaks with Windex or soapy water.(very important step)
You also have to reconnect the two water hoses- one hot and one cold. Make sure you hook hot to hot and cold to cold. You should also replace the water hoses with new ones so you don't flood the house when the old ones break due to old age.
When they bring your new machine--ask for help installing it. You might check on the price of installation when you purchase the new machine.

It is pretty easy. First, unplug the washer from your electrical outlet. Then there are two hoses coming into the washer. They should each have a valve close to the wall that you can turn off, just like the outside garden hose. Turn both off(to the right, or clockwise). Now take a pair of pliers and loosen the hoses and remove them. There may be a little water but not too much to worry about. There is also a dischagre hose, pull it out of the discharge water pipe, it should just pull easily out. Get your friends to help you move the washer or get a movers dolly to help and you are ready for the new washer.

Unplug it. Have a bucket handy and turn off the water supply valves. Then disconnect the hoses slowly to let the pressure bleed off. Done.

Pull the drain out, unscrew the two fill hoses after turning them off and that's it.
