I don't know enough about Polish politics to say one way or the other. However, I will say this much:
Poland has come a long way over the last few years, and congratulations on making it into the EU! Yes, it's still a poor country, but it's starting to show signs of revitalization.
The smaller villages (such as Lwowek Slaski, where I spent Thanksgiving weekend) are slower in catching up, but I'm sure they'll be there eventually.
Boleslawiec is an interesting little city.
The Polish are some of the nicest people I've ever met, EVER.

If I'm correct in assuming that the current Polish president has had a hand in this, I would say he's doing a fantastic job!

I don't--think about the Polish president--at all. Lech Valesa was the last Polish President I was aware of.
