I don't think a brisk walk is so good, but a leisurly walk is a great way to help the digestion process.

Some recent studies have shown that exercise after a meal high on fat actually reduces risk for weight gain and fat-related diseases.
However, it is unadvisable to do strenuous exercise after a meal, since the blood that's supposed to get the nutrients from your stomach is used by other parts of your body. This is why your stomach aches when you do a lot of activity immediately after eating - this is a signal that your stomach needs more blood to absorb the nutrients from the food you just ate.
I believe you should give some time before doing exercise after a meal.

There are two school of thoughts on this .I feel it is not good Because as you exercise more calories are burned and the insulin needed for the amount you have gulped willbe more and the burning of calories are already increased and you may end up with increased lactic acid and more sleep

the way my wife cooks it is advisable to take a brisk walk beforehand.

It's best not to exercise on a full stomach.
To aid in digestion and improve your metabolism, it's best to exercise before a meal. It also suppresses your appetite some, so you're less likely to overeat.

its probably best to exercise before dinner, same idea as not going swimming after a meal i suppose..

altho i do enjoy a casual walk after dinner, its prolly best not to over do it.

I would wait a little while after eating, like an hour or so, you can get stomach cramps.
