What's the best brand of markers for coloring and such? I've hears Copic, but those are expensive like woah.

Maybe I should re-phrase this.

What's the best type of markers that are /affordable/?

I like Sharpies because you can buy them in so many different sizes. (fine tip, medium tip, and so on). That way when you are drawing the ink matches That is especially helpful when you are doing a stipple.

Definitely Copic, but be warned: these markers are seriously expensive. Don't go crazy with buying them. You will end up broke. I use Sakura Of America brand pens for inking. They're pretty good.

Pentels are affordable and very good. Costco used to sell a set of Pentels that was extremely affordable . Prismacolors leave a smoother finish than anything else I have used, but they do bleed through paper, so protect your working surface. They are a little more expensive but bigger. I also like Tombow and Sharpies are ok.

KOH-I-NOR,RAPIDOGRAPH
or go to the local arts/craft store and look for an affordable substitute, there is a Japanese pen, who`s name eludes me.
They are good, and come in various colors and tip widths.
Sakura is the brand, they also make a brush pen.

I'd probably say Crayola, too. Definatly not Roseart- they run out way too quickly and those unmarked kind that are really cheap and you get like fifty are crap too.
