I used to have that problem with one of my vehicles. I believe that it ended up just being some type of short circuit in the switch you activate when you press on it. Most garages could take a look at that and tell you what is going on. If it just happens occasionally, I wouldn't worry about it, but if it progressively gets worse, I'm betting you have a short.

Chances are, the contacts in one of the horn buttons on the steering wheel are very close to touching and with motion of the steering wheel or slightly touching the button itself with just a sleeve while driving, could cause the contacts to make and honk the horn. Try using some tape to pull the horn button up a bit. They might come out with just a tiny screwdriver pushing the holding tabs in to clear the socket holes... then you could see the contacts and align them better. Otherwise, it should be a simple dealer fix but may even be part of a recall notice. Call them to check it out.
Good luck!

Probly a loose wire. Could be in your steering whele or on one of the lines that go from your horn to your wheel. And if the horn runs through the computer of the car, it could be something with the computer. But most likely a loose wire.

Pontiacs are prone to electrical problems. I had the same problem with my 2000 Grand Am. The fix for me was changing the relay in the fuse box under the hood.

Could be in issue with the security system, take it to a competent mechanic to diagnose and fix it. There's at least one computer involved with this and it's expensive to fix if you mess it up.

are you pushing at the center of your steering wheel? lol!
Actually, I would bet on a bad contact in the wheel area or a bad relay....Notice when it happens and try to isolate it to an event like perhaps a bump or try shaking the wheel? Good luck

Do you have an after market security system on it? If not, it could be a busted clock spring or a bad relay. If so, it could be the security system messing up.
