Don't know what you mean by "physical ascents of the brain." I can only surmise that you are talking about bio feed back loops. Anyway two disciplines study brain/body communication: Neuro Physiologists, and Physical Neurologists, if memory serves.

Those are two seperate entities.
One would be a neurologist (MD).
The other would be a psychologist.
Some (and only some) psychiatrists understand both aspects but would be an expert on neither.

You could also be a behavioral neuroscientist, but people in that field usually do research and are PhDs instead of MDs. They're still doctors. :)
