I have a 3 and 5 year old, and my father wants to give them a trampoline with enclosure. I am worried about their safety, and about the possibility of lawsuits if one of the neighbors hurts themselves. Anyone have any experience with these items?

They say now a days they are safer, and the enclosure helps as well - Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

We had one when my son was 2...
It was awesome, but we had rules.
He had to jump towards the middle, and stay as close to the middle as he could... that didn't keep him from the occasional bad angle and getting launched into the net, but he laughed.
There were NEVER 2 kids at once. That's when you'll get the head banging.
Give them each a 3-5 minute turn, then it's the next child's turn.
No one was allowed UNDER the trampoline when someone was in it.
The neighbor kids were not allowed in the trampoline UNLESS their Mom or Dad was RIGHT THERE.
and finally,
When there is a child in the trampoline, stand at the opening, just in case.
It can be very dangerous, but it's very fun if you instill a l few rules.
Merry Christmas!

I am 14 and used to have an enclosure on my trampoline (Im a huge klutz) The enclosure is GREAT and saved me a couple times :) But I live n Florida so everytime a hurricane came around, we would take the enclosure off and have to flip the trampoline upside down so the wind didnt catch it and throw it in the house...finally, it got annoying taking it on and off so i live without it...but it is great especially for younger children.

I have a mother in law who likes to buy stuff for my kids to make me mad. I have a 6 and a 4 year old. It bothers me that she bought a trampoline and put it at her house to bribe the kids to come over more. But the fact that there girls and it does have a safety netting. I dont want them getting hurt. She wants them to get on together but it says only one at a time. She is a pushover so how can i tell her i dont want them on it?

as long as you have the encloser, you will no longer could desire to undertaking approximately your little ones falling off. even with the undeniable fact that, the encloser doesnt consistently make the trampoline safer. trampolines tend to be very risky or perhaps with the encloser, there remains achievable that one among your little ones could desire to wind up breaking a bone or perhaps another injuries basically from touchdown the incorrect way on the trampoline. yet once you will get a trampoline, definitly get the encloser.

With a well made enclosure and padding their pretty safe. I had one when my kids were younger and there were no problems. As always with kids there is some risk , make sure there's someone closeby.
