I know exactly what you problem is.

Take a look at the monitor's connector to the computer. One of the pins is either bent, not sitting in properly or broken. Obviously, if it is broken you should replace the cable. If it is bent, take a long nose plier, press the bent pin straight - you will be good as new.

If it is not sitting in properly, you push it in. By just wriggling the cable, you will see your monitor is back to original colors.

If all this does not work, your graphics card is not sitting in properly. It has jarred lose. Just reposition it. Tighten screws.

If all this does not work, your problem is with your motherboard. Then you have to replace the m/b. We are talking about upgrade or buying another m/b. At this point, it is the work for a technician.

The problem is NOT with your operating system or color settings.

If you did not unplug the monitor cable and assuming you have a CRT and not a flat panel, the monitor or the computer's video adapter could be faulty.

How old is the computer? How old is the monitor? There should be an option in the menu to degauss the monitor, try that. or try the monitor on a different computer.

Typically I'd assume something was wrong with the cable attached between the monitor and computer, however, you did not indicate that the cable was disconnected and than reconnected. CRT's go bad often and it could be a problem with one of the drive circuits inside of the display.

Your monitor should have adjustments on it to adjust the collors. If you can not adjust the colors this could mean that just maybe your monitor is going out.

The next thing to try is to Right Click on your Monitor Screen. Click on Properties. Click on Settings and there you can addjust the Contrast and resulations.

Good luck and happy hollidays. Maybe it's time to buy yourself a Christmas Present! Monitor

press the OSD key on your monitor set , select the RGB & change the colors , if it isn't fixed try to reinstall a new windows & if it is not fixed it is maybe an electrical chock that you must be paitient & don't turn your monitor on to reconstraction s itself or get it fixed .
