CO2 is 30% higher than it has been for 650,000 years. Methane is 130% greater. These are two of the main pollutants humans put into the atmosphere in excess, and they are two of the primary greenhouse gases.

Look at the 'hockeystick', which shows a dramatic warming since 1950 after a fairly stable climate for 1000 years. In fact, the 10 hottest years in recorded history have all happened since 1990, with 2005 being the hottest.
(see links below)

How's that for proof of man's fault in this? There is ample proof, any real scientist will tell you that.

There has NEVER been an article doubting man's influence on global warming published in a peer-reviewed journal. A recent study of almost 1000 proved that.

Yes, the earth naturally heats and cools, but the rate and amount we are warming now is unprecedented in the recent geologic past. We are doing this, and we must stop it. This is not some political statement or rhetoric. This is science trying to educate a crass, ignorant public of the damage they are doing. The magnitude of temperature increase ALREADY is about 10x that of the 'little ice age' of the middle ages, and rate and amount are only going up.

Just to be clear, glacial and interglacial cycles are mainly controlled by astronomical fluctuations, but we have a detailed record of the last 7 cycles, and what the climate and CO2 is doing now is way different and extreme. The rate of increase is much higher than in the past AND the value itself is much higher.

If you keep piling straw onto a camel, you will eventually reach a point where the addition of one more straw will break his back. Did that straw cause the break anymore than any of the earlier straws? No, but if that straw had not been added, the camel would have been OK. Most greenhouse-effect warming on earth results from the glass-like effect of water vapour. Pollution, CO2 emissions are the added straw increasing the greenhouse effect, and even if they are not the prime contributors, they may nevertheless be that final straw that tips the balance toward tragedy. It's all about balance in nature. Just like we tipped the balance by seemingly small actions so that millions of species were forced into extinction, so our net effect on climate change could be way more significant than it seems when we say that our activities are "minor contributors."

I believe global warming is happening, but honestly, the evidence is pretty weak that it is due to our actions. When you consider the eruption of one volcano puts out so much carbon dioxide than has increased over the time period we are talking about, it's pretty tough to make a call on that. But like so many other things people have their agendas and they'll do anything to push them. Global warming alarmists push the idea that we are causing it, because they have an agenda to legislate cleaner air. Industry pushes the idea that we either are not having global warming or that the science isn't there because they don't want the tighter regulations.

Too bad we don't have nice moderates to come out and push for the cleaner air without the alarmist theories and without the severe blow to the economy.

Anyone who doesn't is seriously ignoring the available information. The number of greenhouse gasses our society is producing is staggering.

We've made a few minor changes such as reducing CFC's, but that's like trying to drain Lake Erie with a bucket brigade. If you look at the amount of CO2 that a single person generates in a day (from the simple act of breathing, to the much more dramatic effects of energy consumption of fossil fuels), and then calculate how many trees it takes to convert that back into Carbon and Oxygen, then look at the number of trees being eliminated due to deforestation, it's plainly obvious that we're completely altering the chemistry of our environment on a scale that would have been unimaginable even 100 years ago.

The changes in the environment since I was a child are very apparent. The snowfall has seriously decreased in the winter. I remember many below 0F days, but none in the past ten or more years. Photographs of winter here now look like a completely different place. We always had snow at Christmas when I was young; sometimes many feet of it on the ground. I'm looking out on a green landscape now.

There may be normal cyclical changes, but blaming it on that alone, with the literal thousands or millions of tons of material we are spewing in the air daily ignored seems to be a bit short-sighted.

the problem stems from the ecoterrorists - they exaggerated information and figures a lot that folk knew they were incorrect. that's why it really is now frequently called "climate replace". on an same time as climate replace you've talked about that the previous dire predictions were all halved this year! climate replace or international warming - call it what you'll - has countless motives and technology recognises that human motives at the instantaneous are not the numerous element in additional desirable than some motives - yet they are those we may be able to do something about! for that reason we opt to rein interior the extremist predictions and give up ecosystem getting used as an excuse to make stronger taxes, fines and different avenues to attain gross revenues. we choose solid technology and open and honest debate and really we opt to give up the extremists putting human beings off listening to the genuine information and figures that are undesirable adequate.

Global warming caused by humans? Are we so arrogant to believe we can effect nature?
Fact: DuPont financed the environmental movement after it saw the approaching end of its patent on R22 freon. It is now making billions on the new freons.
Fact: Volcanic eruptions like St Helen's produce more greenhouse gasses in one eruption than man has been able to create in all history.
Follow the money, you will see who's really causing the high price for Air conditioning repair today.

Scientists believe so. Your question if I think so, I do. If you havent seen the movie AN INCONVINIENT TRUTH, you should see it, its reagrding this topic, and it will get you thinking. Global Warming is happening because of our inability to control pollution. It is a cause of our ignorance, and our misuse of power, and a high disconsideration of nature, and our planet. Unless Man can quickly come up with a way to stop global warming, or get out of the planet, humanity and all living forms will parish.

My name is Rafael Lomena. I write from Alicante (Spain). I am independent investigator on the Accelerated Global Heating and want to share with all something that can turn out from interest to fight this phenomenon.
I believe that the main cause of the Accelerated Global Heating is in the great and increasing forest fires that are whipping to the planet in the last years.
My complete report is in: http://inicia.es/de/rlv/clim.htm...

Oh Yes!! It is happening and it is a direct result of humans. I really hope that everyone starts to listen so we can all help to reduce the effects before it is too late.
