You're screwed dude. Go to Walmart and buy a new pair & stop drinking/eating while playin'!~

You are talking about the microsoft xbox or xbox 360. The buttons on a playstation 2 controller are X, O, triangle and square

Unplug it, and use rubbing alcohol to clean it up. I have three kids and we've doctored so many controllers it ain't funny.

For the buttons and stuff, if you're brave, you can tear it apart and clean it with rubbing alcohol and q-tips. if not, just dump a little in there. By little, I mean a teeny amount. It dries quick, but you don't want to soak the electrical thingies in it.

Otherwise, make a trip to Best Buy or something and get a new one.

ok, never spilled soda on it but do this: press R3 (or L3, whatever button is stuck) then pull the stick out (not all the way) repeat a couple time to losen it up DO NOT USE WD40 OR ANY CLEANING FLUID UNLESS YOU WANT TO MESS IT UP MORE!!!

1. don't put them in water
2. don't drink soda while using two hands to play
3. Buy new controllers
4. If you can't, spray a paper towel with some cleaner and use that to wipe up your mess
5. Did I mention, Don't drink soda while using 2 hands to play?

Or, use it as an excuse when you lose!

you are lucky they are still working at all. First unhook them from p/s console. then try cleaning them with a soft cloth and perhaps an eyeglass cleaner not windex !
