calling it a car park leads the un-initiated to believe that free movement is possible! Don't spread false hope! Even full car parks let you drive round and exit. Only the M25 forces you to turn off your engine,
read a book,
eat a picnic,
plane spot,
scream into your mobile,
toss the sat-nav onto the tarmac,
contemplate abandonment of vehicle and field trecking across the nearest farmland,
get out the atlas and learn 80% of the junctions and alternate routes by heart (which will be 70miles longer and 3 hours quicker) to any destination
and to plan ANY future journey avoiding the damn great ring road to start with!
Why do you think congestion charging came in? It's easier to drive through london than use the countries biggest by-pass!

Yes, there is less moving on the M25 than a car park though ... but probably more prangs/wrecks!
