two way glass looks like a mirror on one side, and tinted glass on the other. They can see you, you can't see them. One way to tell if it's two way is to press your finger up against the glass. If you see your finger on the mirrored back of the glass, it's one way and you aren't seen, if you can't see your finger's reflection, it's two way and I wouldn't use that dressing room. However, remember, the dressing room may have one two way, and many one way, so you have to check every mirror in the dressing room.

There is really no such thing as "one way glass".
The way the "one way" effect is made is that you have a sheet of glass that has a partial mirror on one surface ("partial mirror" means that not all of the light is reflected, some of it is transmitted or let through).
The glass is placed between two rooms or areas that have very different lighting. The room that is being observed is very well lit, and the room where the observer sits is dark. If you are on the well lit side you see the glass as a mirror, reflecting the light in your room. There is almost no light from the observer side coming through to compete with the reflected light from your room.
If you are in the observer's room there is very little light, if any from your side to reflect from the mirror. However, the small amount of light that the mirror transmits from the well lit side is much brighter than any light originating on the observer's side, so the observer can easily see into the well lit room.
So there is nothing really special about the glass, it's all about how the lighting is arranged. The "one way" glass doesn't do anything different to light that falls on it from the two sides. This is a basic concept from optical physics call "reciprocity" meaning that if there is no absorption, but only reflection and transmission, light going through an optical system will be affected the same way, which ever direction it is going.

Two-way glass is like your average window. You can see your friend on the other side, as well as he can see you.
One-way glass is mirror-surfaced on one side so that the second party can't see the first party.
