Dont judge Islame by the Muslims but the Holy text

There is approx 1.6 billion Muslims in the world, if all Muslims are terrorists then why isnt 1.6 billion Muslims boming the world right now?

there is only about 0.001% of the 1.6 billion Muslims that accept terrorism. However the media makes it out as if most of the Muslim world does.

I'm from the west, and do not think most Muslims are terrorists.

I think most Muslims show too much tolerance towards people who dirty their beautiful religion, by creating terror based on their religion.

I think a lot of Muslims trust their religious leaders more than they trust their holly book, which is very dangerous, because the religion can be hijacked this way. But this happens in all religions. Nobody can read their holly book, and understand it fully.

As for what Muslims believe westerners are like, well if the US TV is what they are basing it upon then it's OK with me. If it's based upon their own TV stations which sometimes run propaganda programs to influence their viewers believes, then I have a problem with it.

Westerners do not run around naked and drunk every weekend. A lot of Westerners are Muslims and they have certain laws against things like that, which I'm sure you are aware of.
A lot of westerners are Christian, and they do not allow themselves that much freedom to get drunk regularly.

People in the US are more "puritanic" than Europeans, meaning that they are closer to Muslim "moral strictness" in life than Europeans are. I am not saying this is good or bad.

Hope my answer helps. If you want to change my opinion, or yours then E-mail me.

I'm Muslim and I live in the U.S. Yes, I'm an American Muslim and I'm proud of it. It isn't exactly the way you're describing it. I have so many friends and people that I know that are non-Muslims and they don't judge all of us as "terrorists" and not all Americans party and get drunk or run around naked. I'm sorry but you have the wrong image. You can't judge by what media shows you, you have to look beyond that. Also, I've never been discriminated by anyone. My fellow Americans respect me and I truly respect them also. Not all Americans believe Muslims are terrorists. Hope this clears up your misconception. Best wishes...

Well my opinion is you cannot believe what you see on TV no matter what the source. I know lots of muslims that are not terrorists, and I do not know any westerners that run around naked and get drunk every weekend. But like terrorist there are are a few that do that sort of thing, very few. We do have nudest camps, and we do have people that get drunk every weekend or at least most. But that is not the norm.

I'm anti-Islam because I think the Koran and Mohammed taught violence and hatred for Jews and Christians. I think actually the terrorists are the "good" muslims and the moderate peace-loving muslims (which there are a lot of, at least in the west) are the "bad" muslims.

Sorry, but that's the way it is.

We're more likely to run around naked and get drunk that someone in like Saudi Arabia or Iran because we have something called "religious freedom" which means that our belief and following of God is a personal matter.

Sorry, that was harsh, but that's how I see it.

Clear your mind Sabrina, and think before writing, what you really want? Your question is not very clear, what you mean by "image of west that is u"? What you are talking about?

Let you understand that not all non-muslim's believe that Muslims are terrorist, it is the propaganda through media by pro-western media, they afaraid that Islam will rule the world and they will lose their freedom to live as they like. They do not want to learn the history of Islam or they just read from the actions of bad muslims who prortrayed themselves ugly infront of the world by their mischievious act and wrong interpretations. The world outside is not bad, there are thousands of non-muslim there in west and east studying about Islam and its messages. If you have the wrong conception that all non-muslims are bad correct it as it is a bad thinking just like a non-muslim think all the Muslims are Terrorist.

not every weekend, im 15, and we cant have the good ones for a few weeks because we all got drunk and started making out with complete strangers on the floor, including same sex in some cases, and broke into the liquor cabinet and durnk it before vomiting it all up again, so go and tell the muslims about that, itll make them very happy that we can disprove theyre stereotype, oh yea btw, the sterotype of muslims is equally as wrong

No such luck! Seriously, both our societies are diverse. If each of us stop stereotyping one another, we would find many similarities. Part of the confusion is classifying the areas based upon religion. Each area contains a wide range of sects, with different practices/beliefs. It is when one group is not tolerant of the other that conflicts occur. And I DO NOT mean just Christians & Muslims. For instance, in the west, there have been serious problems between Catholics & Protesents just like Shittes & Sunni's in the east.
I hope this gives you food for thought.

I am an American Woman, and I have an American Boyfriend/Fiance. Over the years we have worked at our corner store 6 weeks straight, 7 nights a week, to give the Muslim family which owned the store nights off for Ramadan. We are in a hardcore rock band in Texas, we've drank and smoked, and all the rest, and we know this lifestyle was a temporary taste test and cannot be long lived. Trial and Error you might say. However, we've still long hated injustice, poverty, greed, disease, hunger, and discrimination. We love laughing, music, nature, mankind and each other. Rock on Muslim Friend, and please let your friends know we hope to hang out as one big human family in the name of ONE someday! Peace from a baptized Christian-American and self imposed studier of all faiths and practices kinda girl :)

I think a news broadcast of people sitting around a table laughing having a nice peaceful time, is not good news, I mean who's gonna watch it? I personally don't watch news because it's all bad news , but people get there opinions of places around the world by the news and it's all bad. So what can we do? Try I guess to understand this doesn't define the whole lot......
