in the old days: coffee, mathematics, grand architecture.
nowadays: a lot of grief
Having said that, a lot of muslims will probably get mad and post on this thread. If youre mad, then for God's sake, sit down and think about this: Why do these infidels think so badly about muslims? you know the answer. DO something about it.

If you are "really" interested then you can try this link:
http://members.tripod.com/~salems2/muslim_contribution_to_the_world.html
War, destruction, killing had been done by people from all religions in all ages. Not that Muslims did that all. Not that all 200 crore muslims in this world are killers and believe in terrorism.
People should be tired of this pointless accusation. They have very little knowledge about Islam (what most of the time is pathetically wrong) and say big big words!
Open your mind if you have one. That wouldn't cost much from you. And that's a word for people from all religions including Muslims.
Sorry for so much talks. But what should I do? I don't want to hear that I'm a terrorist and I give destruction to this world which I actually love like all of you.

Since about the thirteenth century, the various Muslim empires and nations haven't brought much to the world stage. It's a shame; if they had kept on the same track of innovating, they would be much farther advanced than the rest of the world by now, and probably would have control of Europe and Africa.
Math ("Al Jebra" -> "Algebra")
Linguistics (Arabic and its related languages (e.g. Hebrew, Spanish) are major world tongues)
Amazing architecture
Developing the concept of a Core Area (Baghdad, Damascus)
Developing the concept of a "world market"
There are many things.
And for those who said that they've brought Terrorism and hate, let me remind you of the Catholic inquisitions, the Columbian exchange, Internment camps and the Holocaust. I think we white people have developed this "terrorism" and "hate" just as well, if not better.

The more I read some of the idiotic answers on here by supposedly unbiased, liberal, kiddies, the more I realize that they must either be brain damaged or too stupid to research something and not have to parrot.
Muslims, for the most part, have contributed to the arts and sciences for many centuries. Whether these boys and girls want to believe it or not, it matters little, as do they.

One of them is The Principle of Modern Medicine by Al Biruni. This book was written more than 1000 years ago and it still becomes main book for medical students in Oxford University.

well if u are talking historically then muslims have contributed to every branch of science, it suffices to say that the words chemistry, physics and Algebra have all been derived from arabic language.
but in modern times muslim nations havent contributed much to science mainly due to a lack of research facilities.

How about keeping alive centuries of education and learning while European nations thought the best way to show their Christianity was to learn as little as possible and not bathe.

The number zero.
Modern Medicine.
Algebra.
Carbon Dioxide (well, lots of oil)
The entire history of Europe prior to our ability to read and write. These things (except for the Carbon Dioxide) came before Mohammed, though. These were Arab contributions. Arabic numerals are actually from India.

muslims, especially arabs (since not all arabs are muslims) were the first to make and think of mathematics, chemistry, physics, philosophy, astronomy....but later on, the europeans took the ideas from them.
