These type of engines were renowned for premature wear to the oil pump which would cause low oil pressure and warn the driver so.
You could try buying and fitting replacement oil pump and strainer available from eurocarparts at a competative rate.
I would suggest that oil pressure is checked using the proper equipment first before tearing your engine to bits.
Good Luck.
Cheers

call an ambulance or a taxi. pressing capacity, to me, there is not any time to be tinkering with a automobile. in case you reside, verify the oil point. If that's stable, verify the strain sending unit is stable. If that's stable, sparkling or replace the oil pump, and verify the backside end bearings are not so worn they'd't carry tension- count quantity how briskly oil drops out of them. Get on the telephone to the wellbeing midsection and go away the motor vehicle parked the place that's.

Are you using a chain-store oil filter? If so, go buy a German one at Audi.
Audis are very sensitive to Mickey Mouse oil filters.
if that doesn't work, then I agree, you should drop the pan and see what's up in there.
