Try the American Library Association. It comes up with a list of 100 best books every year. So does Amazon.com. Also, look up the list of books/authors that have won prizes, such as the Booker Prize, the Nebula Award, the Hugo Award, the Pulitzer Prize, the Newberry Medal, the Caldecott Medal, the Bram Stoker Award, the Mystery Writers of America prize, and the Nobel Prize.

if you're looking gor specific books, amazon is good. if you know the author or title, you can just type it in for all books by that author or related books.
