They're no worse than major corporations using child labour in the third world and polluting the planet. How about confiscating Adidas, Nike, GAP, Starbucks, Disney, General Motors, Shell etc
The main royals (The Queen, Prince Charles and his boys) actually make money for England via tourism, the minor royals should all lose their income and should have to fund themselves.

You and lots of others have the mistaken idea that the Queen and royals are here for a free ride. The royals work very hard. The Queen is 80 years old and still working. Will you expect to be working at her age? No way! You'll expect to have retired to your country cottage or villa in Spain!
And bear this in mind - the Queen pays sh*t loads more tax than you and I ever will, and earns the UK a huge revenue from tourism.
Think your questions through before you ask them!

No - most of the things they have in the UK belong to the Nation not the Royal Family themselves. They do have a private wealth and income but i think they should keep that.

The Royal Family are relatively cheap to maintain and they bring tourists to London, which is good for the economy. I don't mind the immediate family, but the hangers-on who prance around with titles like Viscount or Duchess really annoy me. I hate reading articles in the tabloids where the reporters fawn over these nobodies simply because they are rich. The Royal Family should be a normal family except for about four or five who have titles.

The royals WERE the government, and they are the ones that DID the taxing. And when they were in charge, they DIDN'T go off to stupid wars, because THEY were at the head of the armies. They only went to war when they had to. To protect YOUR ancestors. As to why we continue to 'support' them, money talks. And they know how to use it. Confiscation would be a dangerous precedent for US as well.

They are an embarrasment, and why we should have the GERMAN Royal family- of ALL people- is an absurdity beyond belief.
Personally I think the French and Russians had the right idea.
We should be like the Netherlands, just let them cycle about on old rusty bicycles.

Absolutely. Imagine what we could do for the NHS! And state education. Close down the private schools, close down Oxbridge (it pains me to do it, but the class-snobbery there is hideous, and I should know, I went there) and re-distribute the wealth and the top-class teachers among ordinary comprehensives and universities. Make Boujiis a greasy spoon and turn Kensington into a giant squat. That's the Britain I want to live in.

removing the wealth is a fantasy, its impossible , but i agree with what you are saying, i think a tax should be inforced that takes a fair % out of the wealth and should be used to fund needy charities etc, more importantly most should go into the health service so that people that have paid thier whole lives into it can get the sevice the deserve!

Yes, we continue to support them because unfortunately the laws of this country were framed by the very crooks that they protect and at the moment we have no one like Oliver Cromwell to remove these parasites.
