I have a new printer and I am having trouble installing it.

When I am installing the driver it says that the operation cant continue because the PRINTER SPOOLER has been stopped.

I have uninstalled the old printer.

Nothing seems to work.

Its a digital printer, Canon Pixman iP4300

this is a standard installation method for printers.
1. MAKE SURE THAT THE POWER TO THE PRINTER IS OFF
2. insert the printer software CD in to the CD-ROM drive
if the Installer dialogue box does not appear double click setup.exe in the CD-ROM
3. Select Install Software
4. follow the on-screen instruction's
which will tell you when to plug the usb cable in to the computer's usb port, then switch on the printer so that the software can configure the usb port to the printer.
after installing the printer software, continue with the installation of the ink cartridges.
good luck.

You'll need to enable that service. Click on Start-Control Panel-Administrative Tools, Computer Management, expand Services and Applications, click on Services, then in the right column find Print Spooler, right-click on it, Properties, set the Startup Type to Automatic, click on the Apply button, then click on the Start button within that window, then click OK.

click on START>RUN> type services.msc look for PRINT SPOOLER on the list, double click and select AUTOMATIC on startup type, click on START button. if this failed, go to DEPENDENCIES tab on print spooler properties, check what other services is dependent on print spooler. try to start other dependencies 1st then try again to start the print spooler. reinstall the printer driver. that should fix the issue.
