I am planing a birthday party for my sister, who is turning nine, and she wishes for the party to be panda themed. I am drawing a blank myself, and the internet is not giving my very much. Please help me by giving ideas for free party games, arts & crafts, and anything else, besides a cake (I already have one). Thanks!

Draw a "pin the tail on the panda game". Use lots of black and white objects to decorate. If you have a friend with a panda costume, use it. If you do not, you can make masks with a large white paper plate and two smaller ones painted black. Just draw on the cute face. Wearing a white t shirt with black pants would make the look better. Buy a few bamboo rods from the store and display them around the area. Use bamboo chopsticks, which you could probably get free or cheap at a local chinese restaurant. Set out a bowl of fortune cookies. Hang up pictures of pandas if you have any. Bake a cake or request the bakery draw a panda on the cake. Play bamboo tag - if you are tagged, you have to freeze like a stalk of bamboo- (works just like freeze tag). Kick around a soccer ball... they are black and white like pandas and pandas also enjoy playing with them. If you have it, watch Kung Fu Panda. buy panda party favors from a local dollar store. I bet if you showed up with a small group, all wearing panda masks, she would be surprised, and it would be a great way to put a start to the party.
